Includes stripping of the altar and vigil till 10.00 pm.  You don’t have to stay for the vigil, and/or you can stay as long as you wish, be it 10 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour.  For the vigil we dim the lights and sit in the church quietly, marking the time Jesus spent in the Garden of Gethsemane after the Last Supper, praying, reflecting, and waiting for Judas to betray him and bring the authorities to arrest him.
